Extremely poor customer support and a completely broken recovery process. I have been unable to restore my number since January 9.

Today is January 28 that is 19 days without service. Email support responds only once every 4-5 days, making it nearly impossible to resolve even the simplest issue. To receive just three replies, it takes around 12 days. This is not support this is deliberate delay.

When I call phone support, I am told to send an email. When I email support, they go silent for days. As a result, I am stuck in an endless loop with no real assistance and no accountability. I have already provided all possible verification details: my full name, address, last four digits of my credit card, plan name, activation date, and payment amount.

Despite this, every reply starts the conversation from scratch, as if no one reads previous messages or checks the case history. Compared to other U.S. carriers, where SIM or eSIM recovery takes minutes, this experience is beyond frustrating and completely unacceptable. Sometimes during calls with support, you can literally hear roosters singing and cows screaming in the background.

It honestly feels like customer support is being handled from a farm instead of a professional service center.

The moment I finally manage to restore my number, I will immediately port it to Verizon. If you value your phone number, your time, and your clients never use Lycas services.

Awful customer service, each time you are on hold for over 40 min, then a boring agent with terrible accent answers and never let you talk to a higher manager

I bought a 3-month plan using the link that I received from Lyca Mobile, but then they charged me again after 29 days! I called, and they said they would escalate the issue and take care of it. I called again the next month because they charged me again after 28 days! And now I am disputing the charges and canceling my account.
The most unprofessional customer service I have ever experienced in my life. They get paid by the minutes that they waste your time, so when you want to use the chat or phone, you need to enter your name, email, DB, and phone. Then, when you wait for 40 minutes or so, the agent will ask you these questions again and want you to say your address, frequently called numbers, SIM#, last purchase, and so on until you sound completely pissed off!
They don't understand simple sentences, and they repeat all your questions back to you to waste your time and to their call time to get paid for!
Horrible accent, false promises, and the worst part is they simply hang up on you when they can't answer your question.
It is impossible to get a hold of a manager either by chat or call.
Don't waste your time and money. If you want to buy a promotional plan, make sure to try it only once. Cancel it 2-3 days before the due date because you may not have time to call them at the last minute to get the code for transferring your line out.
The BBB must kick such companies out of the US; they don't have any respect for the customer.

I bought a Lycamobile SIM card (in the UK) for my mum last year. Unfortunately, she passed away in August this year (2025) & I have been trying to get her contract cancelled ever since.

The first time I got in touch with Lyca customer service, they asked me to email them. After waiting several days, I had a response, asking for a copy of her death certificate & a couple of other things. I have sent everything they've asked for but things are still exactly where they were when we first started. I have sent them several follow up emails, but they still keep on asking for the same things.

It seems they do not even read what I've sent them. Mum's death certificate not only shows her details, but mine as well, as I was the one that registered her death. Even our addresses are the same, as she lived with us. They still want a letter of authority!

Where can I get one, since mum is no longer with us? Every time I call, after being on hold for several minutes I get the same scripted answers like "this is company policy" & "sorry, you cannot speak to a manager". Their call centre is in india but they claim that they do not have any managers on site. Managers are based in the UK, but we cannot speak to them.

There is no money left in mum's account (I have told them so) & there is no sign of any progress on the matter. I am now considering complaining to Ofcom.

I would seriously say, DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER JOINING LYCAMOBILE. I doubt you will experience such incompetence or worse customer service elsewhere!

Despite multiple attempts to reach your customer care, I've faced excessive wait times—often over 50 minutes—only to be transferred to the SIM swap department, where the call disconnects after another hour of waiting.

This has happened repeatedly, wasting hours of my time with no resolution.

I finally managed to raise the request 48 hours ago, but it's still in process. To check the status, I'm again expected to endure the same painful call routine. This level of service is unacceptable.

Please escalate this matter immediately and activate my eSIM without further delay.

It was impossible to talk to anyone to resolve a problem with a sim card that even their own official representatives in a shop couldn't resolve. Not only did the sim not work, they sent and charged me for two.

There's a situation with my OTP. Therefore, I can't register and activate my service.

And there's no help. I spent more than 5 hours and still can't reach someone who is good at their work.

Preferred solution: I just want to get proper answer. Every costumer representitive telling me something irrevelant and misinformed everytime. Also cannot reach by phone and live chat is mostly has connection issue
